There is no "I" in "We", but there is a "We" in "I".

There is no “I” in “We”, but there is a “We” in “I”.

Today’s society has destroyed any form of true individuality with heavy marketing, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), team-building and a heavy promotion of hive-mind mentality. We as a species are social, but we are not ants or wasps, we are conscious human beings with free will and individuality. There is no “I” in “We”, but there is a “We” in “I”.

Why is this happening and to who benefits?Answer is simple: hive-mind mentality and social constructs are easy to implement and to populate for any kind of institutions. Add to the mix poor and unaffordable for the majority of the population and available to the “chosen few” education system and you have an army of perfect modern day “wage-slaves”.

Consumer-based society with a single subconscious mindset is easier to manipulate, than to work with individual mindsets separately. Those of us who are smart, maintain integrity and are not willing to participate in the social experiment called “consumer-based post-industrial society” or have already tasted its bitterness are usually proclaimed as “outcasts” by the majority with a huge subconscious sign: “You shall not enter outsider!”.

A good reminder of thriller and horror flicks about isolated communities in the woods who live by their own sets of rules and that kind of mentality has unfortunately took over every major organization worldwide.

That is today’s game for all. What will be the game changer for you individually? Simple:

1. Listen to yourself to understand and answer four questions:

Who do you want to be?

What do you want to do?

What do you want from life?

How do you want to get there?

2. Start to educate yourself, yes my friends, internet is not only for trolling, videos of cute cats and dogs, with updating statuses and pics on Facebook with Instagram. Internet is also a great educational tool starting from Wikipedia and ending with Gutenberg library, all in open access.

3. Be who you have always wanted to be and don’t leave that for “after I finish that awful job”, university, get divorced, buy a new car. Because that “after” may never come. Every day you spend on this planet is your day and nobody else’s, use it wisely.

4. Focus on the activities and things that make you feel passionate, driven and you actually want to do, even if they don’t pay your bills just yet. Never give up on yourself and your dreams.

Once you listen to yourself and understand yourself, you will find other people who share the same or different beliefs and interests that you do, but you will be united not by consumer-based hive-mind mentality, but by your individuality. There is no “I” in “We”, but there is a “We” in “I”.
